Thanks to Premier Digital Publishing, I got my hands on an ARC of Kay Kenyon‘s A Thousand Perfect Things.

I started reading a couple of days ago and the story sucked me in instantly 🙂
Summary quoted from Kay Kenyon¹:
In an alternate 19th century, there are two warring continents on an reimagined earth: the scientific Anglica (England) and magical Bharata (India). Emboldened by her grandfather’s final whispered secret of a magical lotus, Tori Harding, a young Victorian woman and aspiring botanist, must journey to Bharata, with its magics, intrigues and ghosts, to claim her fate. There she will face a choice between two suitors and two irreconcilable realms.
Glad it sucked you in, I haven’t heard much about this one

I haven’t either before I got it. I’m glad I have the chance to read it. 🙂

This book sounds pretty good. I love the cover too. Can I just say I love how you have different posts on your blog besides books. I love blogs like that. Also congrats on your Book Depo win! That’s awesome. I see those contests and never enter. Now I should start entering. Do you like the book assortment you won?
I see that you are German. I am of German descent too. Sadly I never listened to my Omi when she spoke German. I regret that now.
My family comes from Bremerhaven. I am so sorry if I spelled that wrong.
Have a beautiful weekend!

Thanks Bella, I’m interested in so many things, so I thought, I’ll just write about other things too. There’ll be a post about a book stack cake coming up soon 🙂
You should definitely enter the Book Depository competitions. I never thought it possible to win but now I’m the living proof 😀 I really like the selection. “The Humans” was one of the Book Depo books, I’ll also write a review about “50 Sheds of Grey” which was just hilarious lol.
Actually, I’m from Austria 🙂 I think Bremerhaven is correct. I’ve never been up there but it must be beautiful. You gotta go there sometime. I bet your Omi would have wanted that! 🙂
Have a great week!
